Sharing Effective Therapeutic Methods To Provide Relief To And Establish A Deeper Connection With Clients
Instructor: Matt Jones, MT, DC – NCBTMB Approved CE Provider
When we consider the hands, feet, and head (face/scalp) as the primary contacts with the world, it is easy to consider these body regions as holders of tension, though on a more subtle scale than larger body regions.
The feet literally carry our weight during daily activities while the hands, face, and scalp are primarily involved in our self-expression. With so many sensations, emotions, actions, associated with these regions, treating them with massage therapy techniques can have a major impact on feeling calm and composed.
This 4-hour course will provide you with:
- A deeper understanding of each of the aforementioned body regions, incorporating Eastern and Western elements. These regions can have a tremendous impact on client relaxation.
- An anatomical review of each region along with discussion of relevant contraindications.
- Techniques from multiple modalities to add to your repertoire for immediate use.
- An appreciation for connecting with each client, especially when addressing such sensitive body areas.
If you are interested in learning new or additional techniques to assist in client engagement, this course will provide that. Being able to hold space with your clients in a different, more detailed way can truly have a great impact on your overall session quality and improve the experience for all involved. Please come prepared to have your hands, feet, face, and scalp treated. I look forward to sharing some refreshers or new ideas during our class!
